Before going to the recipe, let’s first see the history of these heavy guys.
Gladiators were trained fighters that entertained the audiences in the ancient roman empire. It was a fight of death and life. If a gladiator won a fight, they were rewarded with money. They used lots of different weapons and armour to fight each other.
The gladiators needed to be stiff and fit, so there was a special meal that they ate.
Cook a gladiator’s meal!
You will need:
60 g porridge oats
40 ml water
50 g chopped meat
5 dried chopped figs
- Place the oats, water and salt in a saucepan. Bring it to a boil and simmer for five minutes.
- Pour the oats into a bowl, scatter over the meat and figs.
